Best Journey Time

The ideal time to play golf in Provence is between May and October. The region is particularly impressive from the end of June to mid-August, when the lavender fields are in full bloom and transform the landscape into a blue carpet. Provence's Mediterranean climate ensures mild winters and warm summers, although the cold Mistral wind often brings strong gusts in winter.

Special Destinations

Provence not only has an impressive landscape with its lavender fields to offer, but also numerous sights. The famous coastal city of Marseille, which also offers cultural highlights such as theater in the evenings, is particularly worth a visit. The historic papal city of Avignon is also a must-see.

Charming port cities such as Saint-Tropez, Nice, Grasse and Cannes invite you to stroll around, while the university city of Aix-en-Provence with its flair is perfect for a city trip. The Grand Canyon du Verdon is a highlight for nature lovers. Here you can go hiking, white-water kayaking or climbing. Those interested in culture will find fascinating historical buildings in Arles with its seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Culinary Highlights

The cuisine of Provence delights with a variety of delicacies. The typical herbs of Provence are world-famous and make excellent souvenirs.

Famous dishes include the Nice salad, the popular Béarnaise sauce, Bayonne ham and the traditional fish soup bouillabaisse. Other regional classics include tapenade, socca, ratatouille, fougasse and aioli. The region's specialties include garlic, olive oil and cheeses such as the mild goat's cheese Chèvre or the strong Roquefort.

In addition, Provence offers typical drinks such as the aperitif Rinquinquin or the refreshing aniseed schnapps Pastis and excellent wines, especially rosé.

Arrival & Infrastructure on Site

To get to Provence, you have several options. If you are traveling to the Alpes-Maritimes region by plane, you can land in Nice or Marseille. Marseille is the best choice for the Bouches-du-Rhône department. From there, you have numerous options for reaching other places such as Var or Tourettes by train or bus.

For convenient exploration of the surrounding area, we recommend renting a car on site. This is particularly practical if you want to bring your own golf luggage.
