Phuket
A breathtaking backdrop greets you as soon as you land in Phuket. It is no coincidence that the impressive landscape has been used as a location for Hollywood films on several occasions. Once introduced by King Rama V as a royal sport for the upper classes, golf has long since become a popular sport in Thailand and Phuket is now one of Asia's leading golf destinations.
The island is home to more than 10 first-class golf courses that blend harmoniously into the tropical surroundings. Each game is a special experience with lush vegetation, exotic plants and superbly manicured fairways. The courses offer the perfect mix of challenge and enjoyment for beginners and professionals alike. In addition, a golf license is not mandatory for a golf vacation in Thailand, so beginners can also try out the greens without any problems.

Best Journey Time
The best time for a golf trip to Phuket is from December to April. While pleasant temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius prevail all year round, there are only three to four days a month when it rains during this time, so you can enjoy your golf game to the full.
However, this period also falls within the high season, which means that prices for flights, accommodation and golf courses are slightly higher. The rainy season lasts from May to November, but this does not mean that it rains all the time. Short, intense showers can occur up to 20 days a month during this time - often followed by bright sunshine. Those who are flexible and not afraid of occasional rain showers will find attractive golf vacation offers in the low season.
Special Destinations
If you are mainly staying at the resort and want to enjoy the comfort of an all-inclusive package, an all-inclusive golf vacation is ideal. However, in between training sessions and tee-offs, you should not miss the opportunity to explore the impressive landscape and fascinating culture of Phuket.
The tee times are often in the early morning hours, before the tropical heat sets in. The rest of the day is free for exciting excursions. Explore the old town of Phuket, which looks like something out of a picture book with its traditional Chinese temples and colorful buildings from the colonial era.
The imposing Big Buddha, enthroned on a 45-metre-high pedestal in the heart of the island, is another highlight. If you want to delve even deeper into the spiritual side of Phuket, we recommend a visit to the island's largest temple complex, Wat Chalong. The magnificent chedi and the images of the venerable Buddhas Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang are sure to impress.
Of course, Phuket's world-famous beaches are not to be missed. A trip to the legendary James Bond Island is also a must. The bizarrely shaped rocks jutting out of the turquoise blue water provide a backdrop that is hard to beat in terms of drama.
Culinary Highlights
Traditional Thai cuisine is a harmonious blend of rice, noodles, fresh vegetables and tender pork or beef. It is refined with a variety of aromatic spices such as curry pastes and herbs.
A stroll through the streets of Phuket Downtown is a feast for the senses - the air is filled with the tempting aroma of freshly prepared food. Discover the authentic flavors of Thailand at the numerous street food stalls.
An absolute must is the spicy Thai chicken with basil "Pad Kra Pao Gai", one of the country's most popular street food dishes. We also recommend the grilled Thai satay chicken skewers, which are served with aromatic peanut and chili sauces - a real treat for gourmets.
Arrival & Infrastructure on Site
The easiest way to reach Phuket is by plane. Direct flights or connecting flights, e.g. from the United Arab Emirates, are available from Germany. If you want to book your Gulf vacation at a reasonable price, you have the chance of attractive offers, especially if you choose a flight with a stopover. While the high season is associated with higher prices, you can find significantly cheaper single or last-minute golf trips in the low season.
