The Forest Course at the Ria Bintan Golf Club on the Indonesian island of Bintan was designed by Gary Player like the famous Ocean Course and complements it perfectly. The 9-hole course (par 36, approx. 2,987 m) is nestled in dense tropical vegetation and offers a tranquil, natural golfing experience away from the coast. Rolling hills, lush rainforest, clear lakes and strategically placed bunkers characterize the layout and make the course a charming but challenging alternative.

The fairways are narrower than on the Ocean Course, which requires precise play and a good feel for distances. Each hole is individually designed and makes optimum use of the natural topography of the terrain. The Forest Course conveys an authentic jungle ambience, where birdsong and lush greenery accompany the round.
