The golf course

The Benamor Golf Course is located near Tavira in the eastern Algarve and is considered one of the most charming courses in the region. It was designed by legendary golf architect Sir Henry Cotton and opened in 2000 - as one of the first modern courses in the east of the Algarve.

The 18-hole course (par 71) blends harmoniously into the gently undulating landscape with olive trees, carob trees and fragrant orange groves. At around 5,500 meters in length, Benamor offers varied fairways, strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens that demand precise play.

Magnificent views of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains and the Atlantic coast open up from many holes. The tranquil atmosphere and well-kept grounds create a relaxed, authentic golfing experience away from the large resorts - ideal for golfers who appreciate naturalness, charm and variety.
