The golf course

The Deerpark Course is the most traditional of the three courses at Fota Island Resort and is considered one of the most beautiful parkland courses in Ireland. The 18-hole course (par 71) was designed by Christy O'Connor Jr. and Peter McEvoy and offers a perfect balance of playful challenge and scenic harmony. Wide fairways, ancient oak trees, strategically placed bunkers and picturesque water hazards characterize the picture. The 18th hole in particular, with its spectacular island green, is an unforgettable finale. The venue for several Irish Open tournaments, the Deerpark Course impresses with its excellent maintenance, sporting variety and authentic Irish golfing ambience.
