Golf course: Il Sicilia’s Picciolo Etna Golf
The golf course
The 18-hole golf course at Il Picciolo Etna Golf Resort & Spa is a true masterpiece that blends harmoniously into the impressive volcanic landscape on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. It was opened in 1989 as the first golf course in Sicily and was designed by the renowned architect Luigi Rota Caremoli.
At a length of around 5,870 meters, players can expect a varied par-72 course, characterized by natural differences in altitude, lava rock, old oaks, hazelnut trees and fragrant broom bushes. The fair but challenging holes demand precise play and reward you with spectacular views of Mount Etna, the Alcantara Gorge and the surrounding vineyards.
A driving range, putting and pitching greens as well as an inviting club atmosphere with pro store, bar and terrace round off the golfing experience perfectly.
