Golf course: The Lake Course
The golf course
The Lake Course at the Vale Resort in South Wales is an 18-hole golf course (par 72) with a length of around 6,400 yards. It is picturesquely situated in the green landscape of the Vale of Glamorgan and offers a perfect combination of sporting challenge and scenic beauty.
The course owes its name to the numerous water hazards - water comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes. The 12th hole is particularly famous with its island green, which requires precision and courage. The fairways are well-kept, slightly undulating and surrounded by old trees, which gives every shot a special ambience.
The Lake Course demands tactical play and accurate shots, as water and bunkers are often strategically placed. Players enjoy not only sporting excitement, but also beautiful views over the Welsh countryside. The course is part of the Vale Resort, which is known for its high-quality facilities and relaxed atmosphere - ideal for golfers who want to combine a sporting challenge with nature and comfort.
