Best Journey Time

The best time to play golf in Tenerife is from October to May. During these months, temperatures are pleasant at between 18 and 25 °C, there is little rain and the wind is usually mild - ideal conditions for golfers. Especially in the winter months, Tenerife is an attractive destination to escape the cold weather in Central Europe and play under the sun.

Golf is possible all year round on Tenerife, as the climate does not get extremely hot even in summer with temperatures around 28 to 30 °C. However, the summer months can be less ideal for some golfers due to the higher temperatures and heavier tourist crowds. Those who prefer the quieter times on the courses should choose spring or fall as their travel time.

Special Destinations

Tenerife inspires with a variety of excursion destinations: The Teide National Park fascinates with spectacular volcanic landscapes, the Masca Gorge with picturesque paths and La Laguna's UNESCO old town with colonial charm. Hikers can explore the green Anaga Mountains, while the imposing Los Gigantes cliffs offer spectacular views and boat tours for whale watching. Beaches such as Las Teresitas and Playa de Benijo invite you to relax. Excellent Canarian wines can be enjoyed in the wine regions of the Valle de la Orotava - a perfect end to an unforgettable vacation.

Culinary Highlights

The cuisine of Tenerife impresses with its fresh, regional specialties. Papas arrugadas with spicy mojo sauce are particularly well-known. Fish lovers enjoy grilled vieja (parrot fish) or tuna. Another highlight is Canarian goat's cheese, often served with honey.

Meat dishes such as spicy conejo en salmorejo (rabbit) or tender carne fiesta are traditional delicacies. They go well with a glass of Malvasia wine from the island's wine regions. The sweet bienmesabe, an almond cream that is often served with ice cream or pastries, is a tempting finale.
