The golf course

The Boavista Golf Course in the Algarve was designed by British architect Howard Swan and opened in 2002. The 18-hole course (par 71) blends harmoniously into the gently undulating landscape between Lagos and Praia da Luz and offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Monchique Mountains.

The course is characterized by its varied fairways, which require technical precision and strategic thinking. Wide fairways alternate with narrower passages, while natural water hazards, cleverly placed bunkers and undulating greens ensure variety in terms of play.

The first nine holes lead through open, slightly uphill terrain with sweeping panoramic views, while the second nine transition into flatter terrain and demand a precise short game. This successful combination of sporting challenge and scenic beauty makes the Boavista Golf Course one of the most popular courses in the Algarve - challenging, fair and always a pleasure to play.
