Best Journey Time
If you want to enjoy mild weather and avoid the biggest tourist crowds, you should ideally travel between November and early December or in March. Outdoor activities such as sightseeing, desert safaris and beach breaks are particularly enjoyable during these months.
From April to May and in October, temperatures rise to 30 to 38 °C, so early morning or evening activities are recommended. The summer months from June to September are very hot with temperatures above 40 °C and high humidity, which is why air-conditioned attractions such as shopping malls, museums or indoor experiences are preferred.

Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) is the city's main airport and is served by numerous international airlines, including Etihad Airways. Direct flights from Europe take around 6 to 7 hours. Alternatively, Abu Dhabi can also be reached via Dubai International Airport (DXB), from which it is around 90 minutes by car to Abu Dhabi.
Within the city, there is a modern road network and cabs are the most popular means of transportation. Ride-hailing apps such as Careem and Uber are widespread. Public buses connect different parts of the city and tourist attractions, but are less used than cabs.
