Best Journey Time

Thanks to its mild climate all year round, Fuerteventura offers perfect conditions for a golf vacation. The best months for golfers are March to May and September to November, when the temperatures are pleasant and the courses are in top condition.

Even in winter, the island remains an attractive destination for a relaxing round of golf with a view of the Atlantic with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures.

Special Destinations

In addition to fantastic beaches and first-class golf courses, Fuerteventura offers a variety of fascinating excursion destinations that allow you to experience the island's unique nature and culture.

One highlight is the dunes of Corralejo - a spectacular desert landscape right on the Atlantic Ocean, which is ideal for walks or buggy tours. In the interior of the island, the Betancuria Valley, the cradle of the island's history, impresses with charming villages and sweeping panoramas.

Nature lovers should visit the Oasis Wildlife Park in the south - an extensive park with exotic animals and botanical gardens. For spectacular coastal views, we recommend a trip to the El Cotillo lighthouse, where the Atlantic meets the rugged volcanic landscape.

The island of Lobos, an uninhabited nature reserve off the north coast, is also a special destination - accessible by boat and perfect for hiking, snorkeling and quiet hours by the sea.

Culinary Highlights

Fuerteventura combines the freshness of the Atlantic with the flavors of Canarian cuisine. The island is particularly well-known for its excellent fish and seafood specialties, which are served straight from the local waters - from grilled parrotfish to freshly caught prawns.

A real highlight is the multi-award-winning Queso Majorero, a traditional goat's cheese whose unique taste is closely linked to the Fuerteventura landscape.

Canarian cuisine is often accompanied by the famous papas arrugadas with spicy mojo sauces, which are a must on any menu.

The culinary offer is complemented by a growing number of upscale restaurants that interpret traditional ingredients in a modern way and thus bring the diversity of the island to life.
