Golf course: Golfclub Schladming-Dachstein
The golf course
The Schladming-Dachstein Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Haus im Ennstal, designed by Bernhard Langer. It is located at around 750 meters above sea level in the Enns Valley, nestled between the mountains, but the terrain itself is largely flat with only moderate differences in altitude. The course is often referred to as the "Pebble Beach of the Alps" due to its layout and many water hazards. More than half of the fairways are characterized by water features, complemented by strategically placed bunkers and challengingly shaped greens.
The holes are varied and offer challenges for all skill levels. Holes such as the par 3 "Crocodile Hole" or the so-called "Schladminger Amen Corner", which require precision and tactics, are particularly well-known. Despite its sporty and challenging character, the course is designed in such a way that players with a higher handicap can also enjoy the game.
The club grounds offer modern facilities such as a clubhouse with restaurant, pro store, driving range and practice facilities. The season usually lasts from April to November. The course is considered to be excellently maintained, with both the fairways and greens regularly receiving praise from players.
